Honey soy beef stir fry
Sticky honey soy beef with green beans and sesame - a 25-minute weeknight stir fry served over rice. Chicken or pork work in the same sauce.

Ingredients
- 500 g beef strips
- 200 g green beans
- 1 red onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 cups rice
Method
- Cook the rice. Mix the honey, soy sauce and sesame oil in a small bowl.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok on high and sear the beef strips in batches until browned. Set aside.
- Stir fry the sliced onion, garlic and green beans for 3 minutes.
- Return the beef, pour in the sauce and toss for 1-2 minutes until sticky.
- Serve on rice, scattered with sesame seeds.
Good to know: Beef strips are often cheaper as "stir fry beef" at the supermarket. Chicken or pork work in the same sauce.
